Today in this very brief note, I wanted to share two things around a similar theme: “Sing a New Song.”
First, I’m excited to share the ticket link for our Friday, 2nd June Celtic Psalms 10 Year Anniversary Concert at The Black Box, at 7:30pm. If you’re in Northern Ireland, it would mean a lot if you were there! On this evening we are celebrating 10 years of doing music together, and we are also launching something new: a non profit dedicated to connecting communities through music. Find out more about that through the event link. In the next decade, we hope to “sing a new song” in new ways, bringing people together across community divides around the beauty, depth, and power of music. If you can’t be there in person, there’s an option to donate and receive a link to the streamed concert, if you’d like to support the event from afar!
Secondly, a sermon I preached at the Japan Women’s Conference in March was shared today with the Corrymeela Community’s online worship platform “From the Croí.” It’s about singing a new song, and resilience, and the essential quality of the things that give us joy in our lives. If you have 20 minutes, sit back, catch a glimpse of the beautiful North Coast of Ireland, and have a listen. Have a wonderful Friday.
Thank you for this wonderful message you brought, Kiran! It was uplifting and invited me to dream into what new song God is singing in my life.
